Steel Fabricator
We are seeking an experienced steel fabricator to join our team. We are looking for someone with extensive and proven hands-on experience in steel layout, fitting, welding, and fabricating steel assemblies and components from prints, drawings, and project specifications.
This position requires more than basic welding experience. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of steel fabrication experience and be able to work from drawings with limited supervision. The candidate must have extensive experience taking a project from layout through fit-up, welding, and final quality checks while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and safe work practices. This position requires working in a fast paced environment.
The candidate must be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, understand dimensions and tolerances, layout material accurately, fit components properly, weld assemblies, and verify that finished work meets the required specifications. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can identify issues before they become problems, and is committed to producing quality fabricated steel products.
Duties
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
Layout steel components and assemblies.
Utilize MIG welding techniques.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets established standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
Requirements
Proven experience as a fabricator with a strong understanding of fabrication processes and techniques.
Welding certification preferred but not required.
Experienced in the operation of power tools, fabrication equipment, and forklifts.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to fabrication and welding practices.
